ABOUT JUDITH GLICK

I am a Licensed Clinical social worker with 25 years of professional experience. My career has focused on working with adults, often with the older adult and their families. My work experience has included 13 years as director of Social Services in nursing homes providing patients and their family members with support and comfort during difficult life transitions. As a hospice social worker I helped patients and families cope with end-of-life issues. In the home health agency I helped patients of all ages readjust to the home environment after hospitalization and rehabilitation. For the past 22 years I’ve been in private practice. Before COVID-19, I often provided therapy in the office, home setting, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes. Currently all therapeutic counseling is through the phone and video.

My approach is eclectic and client-centered. I strive to provide comfort and support along with helping the client learn how to cope with many life changes and challenges. Problems can be more difficult when dealing with multiple issues: empty-nest, job loss, divorce, the death of a loved one, relocation, cognitive decline, physical limitations, or life style changes.
